Lucy Gettman, executive director of Women in Government, was honored Oct. 27 at The Ohio State University, receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award for Career Achievement from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. Gettman joined WIG, an organization for female state legislators, in April from the National School Boards Association, where she was chief advocacy officer.
